Repair Terms & Conditions
Repair Terms & Conditions
These Repair Terms & Conditions apply to repair, servicing, diagnostic and maintenance work carried out by EZBikes.
1. Booking Your Repair
When you book a repair, we will record the customer's details, the vehicle details and the reported fault or requested work. Please provide accurate information about the vehicle, including any known faults, modifications, previous repairs or damage.
We may carry out an initial inspection or diagnosis before confirming the work required. Where a diagnostic or inspection charge applies, we will tell you before proceeding.
2. Diagnosis, Estimates & Approval
Our initial assessment is based on the condition of the vehicle and the fault reported to us. A diagnosis or estimate is not a guarantee that no additional faults will be found once the vehicle is opened, tested or dismantled.
Where practical, we will provide an estimate before chargeable repair work begins. We will seek customer approval before carrying out additional chargeable work that materially exceeds the agreed estimate, unless otherwise agreed with the customer.
If a repair is declined after diagnosis, any applicable diagnostic, inspection, dismantling or other agreed charges remain payable.
3. Parts & Availability
Repairs may require replacement parts. Parts may be genuine manufacturer parts, compatible replacement parts or refurbished parts, depending on availability and what has been agreed with the customer.
Part availability can affect repair times. If a required part becomes unavailable, discontinued or significantly delayed, we will contact the customer where reasonably possible to discuss the available options.
Customer-supplied parts are fitted at the customer's risk unless we have expressly agreed otherwise. EZBikes cannot guarantee the suitability, quality or warranty of customer-supplied parts.
4. Customer Data & Accessories
Please remove valuables and personal belongings before leaving a bike or scooter with us. EZBikes is not responsible for personal items or accessories left with a vehicle unless they are specifically recorded as part of the repair intake.
We may need to retain reasonable access to electronic systems, keys, chargers or other equipment required to diagnose or test the vehicle. These should be provided at drop-off where applicable.
5. Payment & Collection
Unless otherwise agreed, the full repair balance must be paid before the repaired vehicle is released. We may withhold release until outstanding repair charges and any applicable storage charges have been paid.
Customers will be notified when their repair is completed and ready for collection. Please arrange collection as soon as reasonably possible.
6. Uncollected Repairs & Storage
Customers have 7 days from notification that a repair is ready for collection to collect the vehicle without a storage charge.
- Days 1–7: No storage charge.
- Days 8–14: €5 per day.
- Days 15–28: €10 per day.
- Maximum storage charge: €150 per repair.
Storage charges are intended to cover the space, handling and administrative costs associated with retaining completed repairs after the customer has been notified. Where a statutory consumer remedy, warranty obligation or other legal requirement applies, nothing in this policy is intended to limit those rights or obligations.
If a repair remains uncollected after 28 days, EZBikes may issue a final collection notice and may take further action permitted by law to recover outstanding repair and storage charges and/or deal with the uncollected property. Any such action will be subject to applicable Irish law and the customer's statutory rights.
7. Warranty & Statutory Rights
Nothing in these terms affects rights that customers have under applicable Irish or EU consumer law. Where a repair is being carried out under a manufacturer warranty, statutory consumer right or other warranty arrangement, the relevant terms and legal rights will continue to apply.
Our warranty on chargeable repair work, where offered, applies to the repair work and/or parts supplied by EZBikes as specified on the repair invoice or job record. It does not automatically cover unrelated faults, accidental damage, misuse, water damage, unauthorised modification or subsequent damage unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
8. Testing & Road Use
We may need to test a bike or scooter after repair. Testing will be carried out as reasonably necessary to diagnose faults and confirm the operation of the repaired system. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their vehicle is used legally and safely after collection.
9. Existing Damage & Condition
We may record visible damage or the condition of a vehicle when it is received. If a vehicle arrives with pre-existing damage, significant wear, non-standard modifications or unsafe components, we may advise that these issues need attention before the vehicle can be safely returned to use.
10. Repair Delays
Repair times are estimates unless a specific completion date has been expressly agreed. Delays can occur due to parts availability, supplier delays, diagnostic complexity, workload or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
11. Cancellation or Abandonment Before Completion
If a customer asks us to stop work after diagnosis or after parts/work have been ordered, any agreed charges, completed labour, non-returnable parts or other costs already incurred may remain payable, where permitted by law and where those costs were properly disclosed or agreed.
12. Contact & Questions
If you have any questions about these Repair Terms & Conditions, please ask a member of the EZBikes team before leaving your vehicle with us.
